Tea board of India is all set to Increase the efficiency of supplying Tea to the Global markets. The board had organized an interactive session to debate regarding a way to increase exports and to deliberate upon numerous problems being faced by the tea trade.
In order to gather real-time knowledge about the current Indian tea export scenario and to ensure greater cooperation among the industry members and government officials, Joint secretary (Plantations) of Union commerce & industry ministry Praveen Bonigala interacted with the exporters.
The joint secretary congratulated the tea board for setting up an ambitious target of reaching 300 million kgs of export by the year 2020. He also added that the target is very much achievable with better cooperation of the stakeholders and the industries.
